My name in print!

I went to a conference last week and at each stall was accosted by someone wanting my business card, either just to get my details or to enter me in a free prize draw (and get my details).

There was only one problem with this - I don't have a business card. At those laughable meetings when everyone passes business cards round in circles, I'm left sitting there feeling insignificant. A small piece of cardboard with my name and number on it doesn't seem much but it would be very helpful sometimes, and make me feel more important and integral to the company as a whole.

Mind you, the last time I actually did have business cards the only people I offloaded them to were my family. But they did make me feel important.

If you can't afford, or can't be bothered to get cards for all your staff, make sure you have a stack of nameless ones available that don't look ridiculous when someone scribbles their name and email address on.

These are very cool although possibly a bit too creative (and expensive)

Agreed that every company should have blank cards so that people who don't have their own can just write their name on it. I do that here.

If you want some cheap personal ones, Vistaprint do them for the cost of postage, about £3.50.

Wasn't there some company that did them from your flickr stream?

Moo do the flickr ones. They're a wonderful company with a great personality and very high quality products. I picked up 10 during the free promotion they did and to be honest, haven't got rid of any. It's a little unfortunate they're funny narrow things, I prefer the standard ratio.
